Production status of polyurethane adhesive industry in China

China's polyurethane adhesives started in the 1960s, by the Shanghai synthetic resin Research Institute took the lead in development, at present, the domestic production of polyurethane adhesives there are more than 400 enterprises, of which more than 20 manufacturers above the scale, mainly distributed in the southeast coastal areas. At present, the high-end market of polyurethane adhesives in China is still occupied by multinational chemical giants with scale and technical advantages, such as Germany's Henkel Company (Henkel), the United States DowCorning Company (DowCorning), the United States 3M Company, and Germany's BASF Company (BASF). Domestic chemical enterprises above the scale can only compete with multinational chemical giants in certain segments of the high-end market, and the overall technical level is slightly backward. A large number of small and medium-sized enterprises that produce polyurethane adhesives still rely on the strategy of low-price competition to gain a place in the market, and the gradient of enterprise market competition is more obvious.
